This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A Heat Advisory is in effect for areas south of a line from Cedar
Rapids to Davenport to Princeton Illinois from noon to 7 PM this
evening. Heat indices of 100 to 105 are possible in the advisory
area.

Thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into this evening
north of Interstate 80. Severe storms are possible with a level 1
out of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms for part of the outlook
area. Frequent lightning, heavy rainfall, damaging winds are
possible with the strongest storms along with a low risk for
tornadoes.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Dangerous heat and oppressive humidity are forecast to continue area-
wide Wednesday and Thursday. An Extreme Heat Watch remains in
effect for the entire area. Afternoon heat index readings will
peak from 100 to 110 degrees.

Thunderstorm chances will increase late week along a slow moving
cold front. It is too early to determine the threat for severe
weather.
