.DISCUSSION...
Widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms are occurring along and
north of I-80 this morning. Rainfall totals between 1-3 inches are
generally expected, especially near and north of Highway 30.
These storms will move out of the area late this morning with
mostly dry conditions returning areawide for the rest of the day.
Mostly cloudy skies and dew points in the upper 60s and 70s will
keep minimum RH values between 75-90% this afternoon. Winds are
forecasted to shift from easterly to northeasterly throughout the
day and remain relatively light between 4-7 knots. More scattered
storms are likely to return on Friday.
The Grassland Fire Danger Index -GFDI- does not account for
precipitation that occurs or any snow on the ground. Please
make appropriate adjustments.
