Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...

  North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued by late tonight at 400 AM CDT.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...North Skunk River near Sigourney.

* WHEN...From this morning to late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water affects agricultural land, some
  county roads, and farm houses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this afternoon and continue falling to 6.8 feet Sunday,
    August 10.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
