...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...
Illinois...

  Skunk River at Augusta affecting Des Moines, Henry IA and Lee
  Counties.

  La Moine River at Colmar affecting McDonough and Hancock Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by this evening.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Skunk River at Augusta.

* WHEN...Until this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Water overflows the south river bank near
  the Perkins Road bridge at Augusta.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 15.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
    this morning and continue falling to 5.5 feet Monday, August 24.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...La Moine River at Colmar.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, water affects the lowest portions of
  Lambert Road and affects Lamar Road approximately 100 feet north of
  the intersection with County Road 26.

At 22.5 feet, water affects lower roads around Birmingham.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 22.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is cresting and will then fall below flood
    stage late tonight.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
