...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by Sunday morning at 1015 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY, AUGUST 02...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, August 02.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Flood Stage. Water affects agricultural
  land along the river. Water is several feet deep in places.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The river level will continue to slowly
    rise over the next several days.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.9
    feet early Thursday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage Saturday, August 02.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
