The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Iowa County in east central Iowa...
  Northern Keokuk County in southeastern Iowa...

* Until 1115 AM CDT.

* At 516 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen, especially across northwest Keokuk County. Additional
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.
  This will be falling on already saturated ground. As a result,
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Marengo, Williamsburg, North English, Victor, What Cheer, Delta,
  Ladora, Parnell, Millersburg, Conroy, Thornburg, Gibson, Lake Iowa
  Park, Genoa Bluff, Iowa County Fairgrounds, Keokuk County
  Fairgrounds, Upper South Amana, South Amana, Coal Creek and West
  Amana.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 205 and
223. Old Mans Creek, Smith Creek, Coal Creek and the South English
River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
