* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Lee County in southeastern Iowa...
  Southern Van Buren County in southeastern Iowa...
  Northwestern Hancock County in west central Illinois...
  Southwestern Henderson County in west central Illinois...
  Clark County in northeastern Missouri...
  Northeastern Scotland County in northeastern Missouri...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 908 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to 1 inch in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Burlington, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Carthage, Kahoka, Memphis,
  Nauvoo, Keosauqua, West Burlington, Hamilton, Warsaw, La Harpe,
  West Point, Dallas City, Danville, Donnellson, Montrose, Wayland,
  Milton and Bonaparte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
