...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Detroit River...
  Lake St. Clair Open Lake (U.S. Portion)...
  St. Clair River...

At 944 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds up to 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 18 nm northwest of St. Clair Shores to 12
nm northwest of The Ambassador Bridge to 18 nm northwest of Monroe
Harbor, moving east at 25 knots.

  St. Clair Shores, Grosse Pointe, Belle Isle, and Gibraltar around
  1010 PM EDT.
  Elizabeth Park Marina and Grosse Ile around 1015 PM EDT.
  Lake Erie Metropark Harbor and Metro Beach Metropark Marina around
  1020 PM EDT.
  Mt Clemens Harbor Of Refuge and New Baltimore around 1025 PM EDT.
  St Clair Flats Old Channel Light around 1030 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by strong thunderstorms include Gibraltar.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds up to 30 knots, locally higher waves,
lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until these storms pass.
