The largest solar event of the period was a M4 event observed at 18/1938Z from Region 3854 (S10W71). There are currently 7 numbered sunspot regions on the disk. # :Solar_Forecast: Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is likely to be moderate with a slight chance for an X-class flare on days one, two, and three (19 Oct, 20 Oct, 21 Oct). # :Geophysical_Activity: Geophysical Activity Summary 17/2100Z to 18/2100Z: The geomagnetic field has been at quiet to unsettled levels for the past 24 hours. Solar wind speed reached a peak of 440 km/s at 18/1721Z. Total IMF reached 13 nT at 18/1708Z. The maximum southward component of Bz reached -11 nT at 18/1530Z. Electrons greater than 2 MeV at geosynchronous orbit reached a peak level of 1,180 pfu. # :Geophysical_Forecast: Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to active levels on days one, two, and three (19 Oct, 20 Oct, 21 Oct).
