This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

A few showers and storms are moving across northern Iowa early
this morning, but no severe weather is expected.

Hot conditions return today and Sunday with heat indices rising
into the upper 90s to near 100 degrees.

Storms may develop after midnight tonight over northern Iowa.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Additional storm chances are forecast Sunday, especially in the
afternoon and evening. The main severe hazards are damaging wind
gusts and locally heavy rainfall.

Storm chances will return to the forecast mid to late next week
with any severe risk better assessed in the coming days.

Rises are ongoing on many area streams over northern and central
Iowa. Minor river flooding is forecast on the Cedar and Shell Rock
Rivers.
