The heat index will peak near 100 degrees in parts of southern and western Iowa. Thunderstorms are likely at times on Tuesday into Tuesday night, lingering in southern Iowa into Wednesday. There is a Marginal Risk of severe storms Tuesday afternoon and evening, with hail and gusty winds the primary threats. Locally heavy rainfall is also expected, which could lead to isolated flooding. Thunderstorm chances return to the forecast from Friday through the weekend. Any severe weather potential during this time will be assessed in the coming days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
