This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

An isolated rumble of thunder is possible with light rain moving
through the area this morning, mainly over southern Iowa. Severe
storm threat is low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for the area Sunday and Monday.
Please refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Thunderstorm chances return at times this weekend, mainly
overnight. The greatest risk for storms will be Sunday evening
into early Monday. A few storms Sunday could be strong to severe.
