This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Showers and a few storms are possible tonight through the
overnight. Severe weather is not expected, but some localized
heavy rainfall is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Showers/storms linger into Saturday morning, but gradually end
west to east.

Hot and humid conditions build this weekend into early next week.
Heat indices may exceed 105 degrees Sunday and again Monday.

Spotter activation is not anticipated but rainfall reports are
always appreciated.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Flood Watch for Flash Flooding is in effect for the area.
Please refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Showers and storms over southern Iowa this afternoon expand
northward through the evening and overnight. Although a few
stronger storms with gusty winds are possible, especially far
southeast, the overall severe risk remains low with heavy rainfall
the primary threat through the overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Showers/storms linger into Saturday morning, but gradually end
west to east. A Flood Watch for Flash Flooding remains in effect
through Saturday morning. Please refer to the National Weather
Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Additional isolated showers and storms are possible far southeast
Saturday afternoon and evening. Some storms could be strong with
gusty winds and small hail the primary concerns.

Hot and humid conditions build this weekend into early next week.
Heat indices may exceed 105 degrees Sunday and again Monday.
