This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon in southern
Iowa, expanding to central and eastern Iowa overnight into
Saturday. A few stronger storms are possible far south, however
the overall severe risk is low. Pockets of heavy rain are also
possible, especially in far southern Iowa.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Saturday morning showers and thunderstorms will end west to east.

Hot and humid conditions build this weekend into early next week.
The heat index Sunday into Monday may exceed 100-105.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters activation is not anticipated at this time, though
rainfall reports are always appreciated.
