This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Widespread heavy rainfall with occasional thunderstorms are expected
across much of central Iowa today. A few storms may be strong to
severe in southern and southeastern Iowa this afternoon and
evening. Strong winds, hail and even a brief tornado are possible.
Area- wide rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with
locally heavier amounts nearing 3 inches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Thunderstorm chances will continue intermittently through the week
from late Monday night onward. The overall threat of severe weather
appears low at this time, but will be monitored in the coming
days.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter reports may be needed in southern and southeastern Iowa
this afternoon and evening.
