The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Dallas County in central Iowa...
  Southern Polk County in central Iowa...
  Northeastern Madison County in south central Iowa...
  Northern Warren County in south central Iowa...

* Until 1000 PM CDT Friday.

* At 351 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Parts of these
  areas received heavy rainfall earlier today and with additional
  storms possibly passing over the same area in the next few hours,
  flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Des Moines, West Des Moines, Indianola, Altoona, Norwalk, Pleasant
  Hill, Windsor Heights, Carlisle, Bondurant, Mitchellville, Van
  Meter, Southridge Mall, Des Moines Int`l Airport, Principal Park,
  Iowa Events Center, Drake Stadium And Knapp Center, Iowa State
  Fairgrounds, Jordan Creek Town Center, Adventureland Amusement
  Park and Prairie Meadows.
