...RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE SET AT BALTIMORE INNER HARBOR...

A DAILY RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 76 DEGREES WAS SET AT BALTIMORE
INNER HARBOR TODAY...NOVEMBER 11. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 74
DEGREES SET IN 2006.

WEATHER RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE DOWNTOWN AREA HAVE BEEN RECORDED
AT WHAT IS NOW THE MARYLAND SCIENCE CENTER SINCE 1999. THE OFFICIAL
WEATHER RECORD CONSISTS OF DATA BACK 1999, AND OBSERVATIONS THAT
WERE TAKEN IN THE CITY OF BALTIMORE FROM JULY OF 1950 THROUGH 1998.
DATA IS MISSING FROM JUNE 3 OF 2020 THROUGH AUGUST 14 OF 2022 WHEN
THE OBSERVING SYSTEM HAD TO BE REMOVED DUE TO A LARGE CONSTRUCTION
PROJECT AT THE MARYLAND SCIENCE CENTER. TEMPERATURE AND
PRECIPITATION RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE DOWNTOWN AREA EXTEND BACK TO
JULY OF 1950.

ALL CLIMATE DATA ARE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY UNTIL REVIEWED BY THE
NATIONAL CENTERS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION (NCEI).
