LOUIS...CARLTON...BAYFIELD...DOUGLAS...IRON...NORTHERN WASHBURN...
ASHLAND...NORTHEASTERN BURNETT AND NORTHWESTERN SAWYER COUNTIES...

At 745 PM CST, an area of moderate to heavy snow showers were along a
line extending from 11 miles northwest of Nashwauk to 7 miles
northeast of Wisconsin Point to Ashland, and moving southeast at 35
mph.

Visibilities of 1 mile or less, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and rapid
snow accumulation on roads are expected with this area of moderate to
heavy snow showers. Snow may melt and then refreeze into ice on roads
and bridges.

Locations impacted include...
Duluth, Superior, Hibbing, Cloquet, Hayward, Big Sandy Lake, Turtle
Flambeau Flowage, Ironwood, Hermantown, Ashland, Proctor, Washburn,
Coleraine, Hurley, Sanborn, Hawthorne, Iron River, Lake Nebagamon,
Keewatin, and Scanlon.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down, allow extra
following and stopping distance between you and the vehicle in front
of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
