...LOCALIZED HEAVY SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS ALONG LAKE SUPERIOR IN
COOK COUNTY...

Strong southwest winds with gusts up to 40 mph and areas of
moderate to heavy lake enhanced snowfall are expected to persist
through late this evening in Cook County. Visibilities down to a
quarter mile are possible with snowfall rates of a half to three
quarters of a inch per hour. Conditions should improve late this
evening through midnight as winds decrease and the heaviest snow
moves offshore.

Although this event is expected to be short-lived, if conditions
worsen, a winter weather advisory may become necessary. Please
monitor local media outlets and the National Weather Service for
further statements.
