At 1014 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from Split Rock Lighthouse to near
York Island to 16 nm southeast of Oak Point, moving northeast at 30
knots.

  Beaver Bay, Silver Bay Marina and Ore Dock, Oak Island, Devils
  Island, Madeline Island, South Twin Island, Ironwood Island,
  Manitou Island, Hermit Island, and Rocky Island around 1020 AM
  CDT.
  Cat Island and North Twin Island around 1025 AM CDT.
  Outer Island around 1030 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by strong thunderstorms include Rocky
Island, Ironwood Island, Basswood Island, Marble Point, Saxon Harbor,
Stockton Island, Cat Island, Manitou Island, South Twin Island, and
North Twin Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
