...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE TWIN PORTS...

  Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage
  MN beyond 5NM...
  Two Harbors to Duluth MN...

At 501 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to more than 30 knots. These strong thunderstorms
were located along a line extending from 37 nm southwest of Barkers
Island to 32 nm northwest of Saint Croix Band Clam Lake Area, moving
northeast at 25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Two Harbors Protected Access Agate Bay, Knife River Marina, Superior
Entry, McQuade Harbor, Barkers Island, Larsmont, Superior Harbor,
Duluth Lift Bridge Channel, Duluth Harbor, Stoney Point, and French
River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds up to 33 knots, locally higher waves,
and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately
until these storms pass.

These strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds up to 33 knots,
and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine Warning
may eventually be required. Boaters should consider heading for shore
before these storms arrive.
