The higher amounts are most likely along the North Shore where lake effects are expected. Strong westerly winds Thursday could create blowing snow. There is around a 10 percent chance for gusts Thursday to reach 50 mph along the North Shore and Bayfield Peninsula. There is also 10 to 20 percent chance of snow squalls in far northern Minnesota Thursday. Additional snowfall is possible this upcoming weekend. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... A Gale Watch has been issued for most of western Lake Superior Thursday and Thursday night.
