A few storms may be strong to severe, producing gusty winds to 50 to 60 mph, hail up to penny to quarter size, and lightning. Additional periods of thunderstorms are possible Thursday evening into this weekend. Some of these storms could become strong to severe Friday afternoon into Friday night and again Saturday afternoon and evening. Periods of heavy rainfall could also lead to localized flooding Friday and Saturday. Hot and humid conditions are expected on Friday with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s and heat indices in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Small hail and 30 to 40 knot wind gusts would be the primary hazards with the strongest storms. Additional periods of thunderstorms are possible Thursday evening into this weekend.
