There is a 10 to 20 percent chance for minor flooding southeast of a Hayward to Hurley line where the best potential for 1 to 2 inches of rainfall accumulations exists. Never drive across flooded roadways. Strong onshore winds could lead to a high risk for rip currents today. A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect for the beaches of Minnesota and Wisconsin Points. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Showers and thunderstorms return Friday night into Sunday. Thunderstorms late Friday night into early Saturday morning could become strong to severe, with large hail and damaging wind gusts as the primary threats. A round of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon into Saturday night could become strong to severe for much of the Northland. Additional thunderstorms Sunday could also become strong to severe in northwest Wisconsin.
