Mostly sunny for several hours this afternoon, then thunderstorms may move in as early as 4 PM, but more likely around 5 to 6. Intensity of the storms is a little uncertain, and it could range from moderate intensity showers with a few rumbles of thunder to potentially low-end severe storms with the possibility of quarter size hail and gusty winds up to 60 mph. Most likely case will be thunderstorms with heavy rain, thunder and lightning, and some gusty and erratic winds up to 20-40 mph for a brief period. There may be multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms through the night, and after the first round of storms later this afternoon, storms tonight are not expected to be severe. Wind direction will switch from southerly to westerly overnight as a cold front passes through. Expect partially clearing skies late Saturday morning into the afternoon, but also the introduction of haze and smoke from Canadian wildfires. Shower and storm chances continue through about mid-morning, then chances drop off into the afternoon. A stray shower or storm is still possible Saturday afternoon. .REST OF TODAY...
