.DISCUSSION...

Warm and humid conditions expected this afternoon into the evening,
with southeast onshore winds becoming southwesterly inland, at
6-8mph this afternoon, decreasing through the evening hours.

Chances for rain and thunderstorms increase after 8pm as a line of
strong to severe storms moves northwest to southeast into the area.
Heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and strong winds are possible.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9PM CDT. Rainfall
amounts from 8pm through 7am Saturday of 1-2 inches are possible.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue overnight into
Saturday morning.

                    mostly cloudy (70-80 percent). Chance of
                    showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then
                    showers and thunderstorms likely overnight.
