Hot and muggy conditions will make potentially dangerous hot conditions this afternoon into the evening. Heat indices this afternoon could reach as high as 90, but if there is some influence from Lake Superior, the heat index this afternoon may only be in the mid 80s. The firs round of storms this morning are expected to have a minimal impact on the search. There is a dying storm approaching the Twin Ports, but is projected to dissipate before it reaches the site. Storms are expected to reform in the mid to late afternoon, though exact timing is still uncertain. However, these storms are expected to be strong to severe, with damaging winds, large hail, and maybe a tornado or two possible. These will also produce heavy rainfall, which could be up to 1 inch per hour at times. Strong storms are expected to end for the Duluth area in the late evening/early overnight, but general thunderstorms could linger for a couple hours later. .REST OF TODAY...
