.DISCUSSION...

Canadian wildfire smoke is expected to impact the SAR location
today, leading to very unhealthy air quality through the day. This
smoke is forecast to arrive at the LKP around 0500 this morning.
An Air Quality Alert remains in effect for all of northeast
Minnesota until 0900 Monday. Light to northerly light winds this
morning will be shifting to the southeast around 1000 today,
remaining southeast around 7-9 mph through the afternoon. High
temps this afternoon will be around 76 degrees.

Precipitation is not expected to reach the surface today. While
light radar reflectivity may be observed this afternoon, low-level
dry air will likely prevent these rain showers from reaching the
surface. Winds tonight will back to the east with speeds around
4-6 mph, returning to the southeast around 0900 on Monday. There
will be a 20% chance for showers arriving Monday afternoon, with
much better chances for rain after 1900 on Monday evening.
