...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, in north central Minnesota, Koochiching
  County. In northeast Minnesota, St. Louis County.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 520 PM CDT Friday, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 0.25 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Littlefork, Nett Lake, Big Falls, Ash Lake, Kabetogama, Crane
    Lake, Mizpah, Rainy Lake West, Margie, Kabetogama Lake,
    Voyageurs National Park, Rainy Lake East, Gemmell, Kettle
    Falls, northwestern Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness,
    Ericksburg, Ray, Bois Forte Band Nett Lake Area and Grand
    Falls.
  - Flood safety information can be found at

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
