Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 610 AM CDT Saturday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.75 inches of rain have fallen. - The Wood River near and west of Grantsburg is one of the most likely places to experience elevated flows as the most widespread coverage of the heaviest rainfall has fallen over the City of Grantsburg and west to the St. Croix River Valley. Ponding of water within the City of Grantsburg is also expected. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grantsburg, Trade Lake, Branstad, Saint Croix State Park, Alpha, Phantom Lake, Falun and Chengwatana State Forest. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood.
