The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Burnett County in northwestern Wisconsin...
  Southwestern Washburn County in northwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 715 AM CDT Friday.

* At 412 AM CDT Friday, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall
  rate is 1.5 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Spooner, Shell Lake, Saint Croix Band Bashaw area, Sarona, Spooner
  Lake, McKenzie Lake, Saint Criox Band Gaslyn area and Birch Island
  Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
