The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Itasca County in north central Minnesota...
  Southwestern Koochiching County in north central Minnesota...

* Until 315 PM CDT Friday.

* At 1214 PM CDT Friday, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Rainfall rates of
  between 1 and 2 inches in as little as 30 minutes is likely. Flash
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Bigfork, Northome, Effie, Mizpah, Scenic State Park, Gemmell,
  Togo, Deer Lake Northern Itasca County, Stony Brook, Wirt,
  Craigville, Coon Lake, Bois Forte Band Deer Creek Area, Gunn Lake,
  Whitefish Lake, Balsam Lake, Bear Lake, Buck Lake, Orth and Stingy
  Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
