...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, in north central Minnesota, Koochiching and
  North Itasca Counties. In northeast Minnesota, North St. Louis
  County. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band,
  Deer Creek and, Nett Lake areas. Other locations including
  Voyageurs National Park. This also includes the Boundary Waters
  western area.

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
  flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A slow moving cold front will bring heavy rainfall which may
    lead to rapid runoff and flash flooding late this afternoon
    into Saturday. Heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
    expected, with localized amounts in excess of 4 inches
    possible.
  - Flood safety information can be found at

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, in east central Minnesota, Crow Wing and
  Aitkin Counties. In north central Minnesota, South Itasca and Cass
  Counties. In northeast Minnesota, Cook, Lake, Carlton and central
  and southern St. Louis Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of
  the Fond du Lac Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the Bois
  Forte Band, Lake Vermilion area and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy
  Lake and, East Lake areas.This also includes the Boundary Waters
  eastern and central area.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
  flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
