The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for In Minnesota, Koochiching and
North Itasca Counties.

The threat for flooding has diminished due to heavy rainfall ending.
Therefore, the Flash Flood Watch is being cancelled.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, North St. Louis County. This includes the
  Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Nett Lake area. Other
  locations including Voyageurs National Park. This also includes
  the Boundary Waters western area.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
  flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Widespread rainfall and localized heavy rainfall ahead of a
    slow moving cold front may lead to rapid runoff and flooding
    through this morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1
    inch are expected.
  - Flood safety information can be found at
    www.weather.gov/safety/flood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

  possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, in east central Minnesota, Crow Wing and
  Aitkin Counties. In north central Minnesota, South Itasca and Cass
  Counties. In northeast Minnesota, Cook, Lake, Carlton and central
  and southern St. Louis Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of
  the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion area, the Grand Portage
  Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille Lacs Band, East
  Lake and, Big Sandy Lake areas.This also includes the Boundary
  Waters eastern and central area.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
  flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Widespread showers with scattered heavy rainfall and high
    rainfall rates may lead to rapid runoff and flash flooding
    through this morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2
    inches are expected, with localized amounts over 2 inches
    possible.
  - Flood safety information can be found at
