.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 305 PM CST Thu Nov 13 2025

Very warm temperatures are forecast for Friday as high pressure
drifts off to the east. Southerly winds ahead of an approaching
high-latitude low pressure system will result in robust warm
air advection tonight and Friday. Nudged low temps toward the
10th percentile of NBM guidance since skies are expected to be
clear and winds light. Several locations saw readings in the low
20s and upper teens last night. That potential will persist
tonight, too. Highs Friday will range from the upper 40s in the
Arrowhead to the upper 50s in north-central Minnesota to the low
and middle 60s from central Minnesota east into northwest
Wisconsin. Wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph are forecast during the
afternoon.

A cold front will advance southeastward across the Northland
Saturday morning and afternoon. A few rain showers may develop
ahead of the front, although rain amounts will be light, less
than 0.05". Winds will veer northwesterly behind the front and
temperatures will be steady or tumble during the day. Wind gusts
of 20 to 30 mph are forecast behind the front during the day.
Winds gradually weaken as we progress through the weekend
although the colder, near normal, temperatures will persist.

Not much change from Sunday through Wednesday with similar,
near normal, temperatures and generally quiet conditions. The
potential for unsettled weather returns late next week as
several models hint at a possible low pressure system bringing
precipitation to the region. Timing and location of the low vary
greatly between guidance families thus we won`t delve into the
details at this time.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z FRIDAY/...
Issued at 1131 AM CST Thu Nov 13 2025

VFR conditions persist through the period. LLWS will become a
concern on Friday. INL will see the wind shear first with BRD,
HIB, and DLH perhaps experiencing LLWS after 14.18Z.

.MARINE /FOR NEAR SHORE WATERS OF WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR/...
Issued at 305 PM CST Thu Nov 13 2025

High pressure will remain in place for Friday and winds will
veer southeasterly. Gusts of 15 to 20 knots are possible along
the North Shore. A cold front will move across the water
Saturday morning and early afternoon. Look for winds to veer
northwesterly behind the front. Wind speeds and gusts will
increase and create conditions hazardous for smaller vessels.
There is a 10 to 30 percent chance of gales to 35 knots Saturday
afternoon and evening. Winds and waves will gradually weaken by
Sunday night.
