south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Saturday.

Strong south winds are expected Saturday afternoon, gusting 40 to
45 mph. Brief local gusts to 50 mph are possible. The risk of
wildfire spread will be elevated west of US 83.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Thursday.

Scattered thunderstorms may produce marginally severe wind gusts
and hail, focusing on the northeast zones, northeast of Dodge City
Sunday evening and night.
