...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING...
.DISCUSSION...
Light winds are expected this morning with winds shifting to the
northeast by this afternoon at less than 15 mph. Winds then become
light and variable overnight. Winds then are expected to shift to the
southwest by sunrise tomorrow morning and increase in speed late
morning into the afternoon hours. RHs will dip into the upper teens
to low 20s but with the light winds fire danger should remain low.
RHs will dip into the low teens in our western zones to around 20
percent across central Kansas. This in combination with the strong
winds will bring high fire weather danger across our western
counties tomorrow afternoon into the early evening hours.
