.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions will increase over the next two days. For
today gusty north winds will decrease to 10 to 15 mph as cooler
spreads across southwest Kansas. This cooler air will result in
afternoon temperatures in the 50 to 55 degree range and humidity
values as low as 20 to 30 percent.
Elevated fire weather conditions may develop during the day west of
a Hugoton to Ulysses line on Thursday as temperatures warm into the
low to mid 70s. Afternoon humidity values will fall back to around 20
percent and the southwest winds will be at 10 to 20 mph.
