Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...

  Smoky Hill River Near Arnold 12N affecting Trego County.

For the Smoky Hill River...including Schoenchen 2E, Arnold 12N...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Smoky Hill River near Arnold 12N.

* WHEN...From this morning to late this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Prepare for moderate north bank overflows
  of 2 feet or more along the Smoky Hill River from the confluence
  of Hackberry Creek to U.S. Highway 283.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 5:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 8.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this morning and continue falling to 0.0 feet early
    Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    8.3 feet on 07/25/1950.
