...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN DAWES COUNTY
THROUGH 900 PM MDT...

At 818 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Whitney Lake, or 16 miles west of Chadron, moving northeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, penny size hail, and very heavy
         rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Whitney Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
the Panhandle of Nebraska.
