NWS damage survey determined a swath of straight line wind damage in
eastern Kimball County Nebraska from a supercell on Friday
8/21/2026. A center pivot was flipped and rolled to the west,
roofing material on the east side of a barn was torn off and blown
to the southwest, tree damage was noted, and a row of ~30 power
poles were blown down to the west. This was consistent with an RFD
surge seen on radar at the same location and determined to be
straight line wind damage.
