.DISCUSSION...
A warm and dry day is expected with above average temperatures. High
temperatures will be in the low 90s with a minimum relative humidity
around 15 percent. Winds will pick up this afternoon with sustained
southerlies at 10 MPH and gusts up to 25 MPH. This will create near
critical fire weather conditions across the area. There is a slight
chance of an isolated shower/storm this afternoon and evening. Given
the very dry mid and low levels, very little moisture is expected to
reach the ground, leading to dry lightning concerns. Gusty and erratic
winds will also be possible in and around these showers/storms. Cannot
rule out rogue gusts over 50 MPH. Overnight humidity recoveries will be
good, rising to about 90 percent with a low temperature around 55
degrees. Winds will remain similar overnight, but gradually change
directions, becoming more northerly by morning. Warm and dry temperatures
are once again forecast for Friday, with a high temperature around 85 and
a minimum relative humidity around 20 percent. Northerly winds at 10 MPH
are expected for the first part of the day, turning more easterly by the
evening.
