.DISCUSSION...

Elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions expected today for
locations west of the Laramie Range, specifically Carbon County.
Afternoon minimum relative humidity values will drop below about 10
percent with winds gusting between 20 and 25 mph. Overnight humidity
recoveries into Saturday will be good, around 45 to 60 percent. There
is a slight chance for showers and storms across western portions of
the region, though wetting rainfall is not expected. Elevated fire
weather conditions will continue through the week as afternoon
relative humidity values are expected to remain between 8 and 12
percent through the week.
