.DISCUSSION...
Elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions are expected this
afternoon as minimum humidity values drop to the 14 to 17 percent
range and winds gust up to around 25 mph. Brief critical conditions
are possible this afternoon, but the strongest winds and lowest
relative humidity values do not align well enough for long enough to
prompt a Red Flag Warning. If conditions do become critical for three
hours, the areal extent of the conditions will be relatively small. A
cold front will impact the region on Saturday, increasing precipitation
chances and lowering fire weather concerns.
