EVENING FOR PORTIONS OF CARBON COUNTY...
.DISCUSSION...
Critical fire weather conditions are expected for portions of central
and northern Carbon county this afternoon. Westerly winds gusting to
around 30 mph combined with RH dropping to between 12 and 15 percent
will lead to conditions conducive for the spread of wildfire. In
addition, isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and
evening may bring gusty/erratic winds without much if any rainfall.
High RH will keep fire weather concerns to a minimum east of the Laramie
range.
Expect higher RH and lower winds Friday and Saturday in Carbon county,
reducing fire weather concerns. However, near critical conditions
may creep back into the forecast with a warming trend Sunday into early
next week.
