.DISCUSSION...
Minimal fire weather concerns over the next several days due to cold
temperatures and light snowfall. Today and tonight will be bitterly
cold across the area with light snow tapering off this morning. Strong
winds and blowing snow are expected to return to the mountains and wind
prone areas tonight, lasting into Friday morning. Strong winds may expand
to much of Carbon county and parts of Converse county Thursday afternoon.
Expect a warm-up for Thursday and Friday in particular, followed by another
arctic cold front for Saturday. Heavy snow will return to the mountains
Thursday night and last into the weekend. Lower elevations will see chances
for snow on Friday and Saturday.
