.DISCUSSION...
Near critical fire weather conditions are expected on today through the end
of the week. Strong winds with frequent gusts over 40 MPH are the largest
concern as any fires that do start could spread rapidly. The strongest winds
are expected this afternoon and Wednesday. Winds will ease later in the week,
but breezy conditions are still expected. Relative humidity may be the
limiting factor. Some models show humidity staying above critical thresholds
while others show it dropping into the single digits. Either way, relative
humidity will be near 15 percent through much of the week. Given these
conditions, control problems could be an issue in the coming days.
