FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
.DISCUSSION...
A fire weather watch has been issued for Saturday afternoon in areas
along the Laramie Range as well as to the west and east of the
mountains in southeast Wyoming. RH values will drop into the 10-15
percent range during the late morning and afternoon hours with winds
gusting into the 30-40 mph range. While the strongest winds will be
limited to the Laramie Range itself, some gusts over 25 mph will
make their way down into the Shirley Basin and Northern Laramie Range
foothills and North Platte River valley. The expectation is for RH
to rise above 20% by sunset however fire weather conditions will
remain elevated overnight in areas that see gusty winds until a
strong cold front passes through on Sunday morning. See the latest
