.DISCUSSION...
Elevated to no fire conditions throughout the week. Multiple shortwaves
are expected throughout the week. These shortwaves should provided
marginal chances for light rain throughout the week keeping the afternoon
RH values between 17 and 30 percent for the Southeast Wyoming area and
between 40 to 50 percent for the Nebraska Panhandle. The areas with the
driest conditions are central and southern Carbon county. RH values will
likely bounce between 17 and 25 percent each day. Winds aloft and at the
surface will be rather light. Peak afternoon wind gusts look to be between
20 and 30 mph throughout the week contributing to the elevated fire weather
conditions. Any shower potential looks rather weak underneath this building
ridge so the chance for wetting rains looks to be around 5 percent or less
after today. With weak winds aloft and nocturnal inversions looking to set
up. Smoke dispersal will be rather poor in the overnight hours and might
be okay during the afternoon hours during diurnal mixing.
