.DISCUSSION...
Gusty winds will return today for the majority of the area, except
Carbon county. Winds will be out of the S to SE. Widespread gusts
of 30 to 40 mph can be expected. Local areas could see gusts to
50 mph, particularly in the Laramie Valley, central Laramie Range,
and in central/southern Converse and Niobrara counties. Fortunately,
RH will be much higher today, generally above 30% as moisture
and cloud cover increase from the south. Scattered showers are
expected mid morning through the afternoon.
Fire weather concerns will be minimal through Thursday as abundant
moisture remains over the area. A cold front may bring increased
westerly winds and drier air for Friday, but this will of course come
with a cool down too.
