.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather concerns will be present for portions of this
afternoon and Saturday afternoon. Very dry air will persist over the
region due to high pressure and an upper level ridge bringing above
average temperatures to the area. Minimum humidity this afternoon and
Saturday afternoon will hover in the 12-20% range, with winds of 10
to 20mph for today, and stronger wind gusts up to 30mph for areas on
Saturday afternoon. Fire Weather Zones 417 and 418 will have near
critical fire weather concerns on Saturday afternoon for 1-2 hours.
