Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
156 AM MDT Thu Jul 31 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are expected
today in the lower elevations of Carbon county once again.
As the dryline advances eastward, RH will drop to between
10 and 16%. Increasing southwest winds will push winds close
to critical as well. Expect similar conditions Friday and Saturday,
with RH easily critical each afternoon, but winds more marginal.
While confidence is not high enough now for a headline, we may tip
over into critical and need a Red Flag Warning in Carbon county
these days. Fire weather concerns will remain minimal along and
east of the Laramie Range with humidity remaining quite high.
